Frequently asked questions

How credits, cancellations and refunds work.

What's the difference between a lesson and a class?

A lesson is the material: the slides, the skills it covers and the level it's written for. A class is the event: a scheduled session at a set time with a tutor and one or more students, built on one lesson. The same lesson can be taught in many classes, and credits pay for classes, not lessons.

How do credits work?

Every class costs credits. A group class costs 2 credits and an individual 1-on-1 class costs 4. Your plan gives you a set number of credits each billing period, and you can buy more at any time.

Do my credits expire?

No. Credits you have already been given stay in your account until you use them, including when your plan renews.

What happens when my plan renews?

On each renewal we add your plan's credits to whatever you have left. Nothing is taken away.

Can I cancel a class?

Yes. If you cancel more than 24 hours before the class starts, your credits go straight back into your account. If you cancel within 24 hours of the start time, the credits are used: the class is already committed and your tutor has prepared for it.

The 24 hours are measured against the class's start time, exactly as shown on your booking.

What if I need to cancel late?

Get in touch and we'll look at it. We can't promise credits back, but we'd rather hear from you than have you miss a class without telling anyone.

What happens if my tutor doesn't show up?

You won't lose credits for a class your tutor missed. Get in touch and we'll return them to your account.

Can I buy more credits?

Yes, if you have an active plan. Credits are €11 each and never expire.

How long are classes?

Our classes are 50 minutes long.

Can I change the language I'm learning?

Not yet. Get in touch if you'd like to switch and we'll sort it out for you.

My company signed me up. Who pays for my classes?

Your organization buys credits and assigns them to you. You book classes the same way anyone else does, and you'll never be asked for payment details.
